Read the Bible Like a Child

Saturday August 26  Devotional

Psalm 1:2 (KJV) But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

My grand daughters.  What a mystery.  They’ll take a favorite book, a snack, some tissue, and melt into a corner to read and giggle and cry, and laugh so much, all with a favorite book.  It’s the joy of reading fine literature.  How so, we as Christians, how do we read His Word, God’ favorite stories?  Do we put all else aside, looking forward to a message for the day?  A message which will make us giggle or cry or quick turn the page to see what happened?  If we don’t relish the scriptures then what else fills or lives?

Thought;  There is much wisdom in reading the scriptures.

Oh God, help me to seek your Way and you Word above all else.
