When you pray…

Saturday  May 20  Devotional

James 4:2-3 (KJV) Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

As a papa, I get a thrill from listening to my grand kids pray.  They’re not shy at all about laying what they want right out there for all to see with no concept of the will of God, or the consequences.  Then I have to stop, right there with them.  Am I any better?  How arrogant I must seem to our Holy God by not coming to Him in humble worship and obedience.

Thought:  Help me Lord, to find prayer as an open door to your throne room and be Holy in my attitude and prayer.

Oh Lord help me to see my circumstances as you do and pray accordingly.
