Wounded For Eternity

Millions Suffer In Chronic Pain.  How many will suffer for eternity?

Is that a question for you?  The theme of – make your pain great again, is developed to answer that question.

The greater theme is ‘how to’ overcome adversity through a step of faith.  But wait a minute.  What if…  What if this blog is reaching you in a dark hour of your life?  What if…  What if you’re struggling in life, in darkness, gasping a last reach for His light?

Then you are in a good place, for the Grace of Jesus is able to split darkness apart and reach down to you.  Here is a poem – just for you in your moment of doubt or fear…

Where is the soul who cries for thee?

Where is the soul that cries for thee?
Lost in darkness where none can see…
Is there no hope where darkness casts its veil,
Does a spirit die, tossed by every gale?

Who will reach down and pull out the one,
Who cries out in anguish for His Son?
Man cannot reach down in solemn attempt,
Though he might try and hold God in contempt.

It is for the divine in His great love,
To strike a blow for freedom in a flash from above.
To rend apart the veil of the dark,
And save one more mortal, much like Noah and the ark…

Where is the soul that cries for thee?
Lost in darkness where none can see…
Is there no hope where darkness casts its veil,
Does a spirit die, tossed by every gale?

Naye, again naye for ought,
For Christ will reach down for the one who is sought.
To overcome darkness by a step of faith,
And rest in His Promise of amazing Grace !

Authors throughout these days have ventured a verse of ‘good news’ for you.  At the turn of the previous century, hymn writer William Cushing penned these words for you today.(public domain).  Hiding In Thee

  1. O safe to the Rock that is higher than I,
    My soul in its conflicts and sorrows would fly;
    Alone I would perish, undone would I be;
    Thou blest “Rock of Ages,” I’m hiding in Thee.

    • Refrain:
      Hiding in Thee, hiding in Thee,
      Thou blest “Rock of Ages,” I’m hiding in Thee.
  2. In the calm of the noontide, in sorrow’s lone hour,
    In times when temptation casts o’er me its pow’r;
    In the tempests of life, on its wide, heaving sea,
    Thou blest “Rock of Ages,” I’m hiding in Thee.
  3. How oft in the conflict, when pressed by the foe,
    I have fled to my Refuge and breathed out my woe;
    How often, when trials like sea billows roll,
    Have I hidden in Thee, O Thou Rock of my soul.

That’s the tune and the message.  It’s a message both thousands of years old and yet fresh today.  Come home.  Come home.  Ye who are weary, come home.
