I’m Right By Your Side.

Are the climbing bars of life too wide for you?

Monday  May 1  Devotional

1 Kings 19: 7  (KJV) And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.

I take our grand daughter to the park often.  One set of climbing bars is set a few inches too tall and wide for her to manage.  She tries, but can’t reach.  I stand right there next to her and help her on her journey.  In our verse, the prophet Elijah faced a situation where the bars of life were to wide apart for him to accomplish.  In his fear and hiding, the Lord stood by his side through an angel because the Lord knew the journey was too hard.  How about your Christian journey?  Are the bars of life spaced to far apart for you?  Know that Jesus is right there, because HE KNOWS.

Thought:  Trust and obey for there’s no other way…

Oh Lord, help me know of your presence this day.
